Porcelain glue is a powerful, yet easy-to-use adhesive for a range of porous and non-porous fragile materials, including porcelain and ceramic. Although there are some general-use porcelain adhesives, it’s best to choose one that pertains to your project as different glues contain different properties. Some glues work well under extreme temperatures, while others create minimal odors and are easily cleaned.

If you decide to opt for a porcelain glue to repair your coffee mug or a vase, it’s super simple and super quick:
- Gather the broken pieces together onto a clean and flat area, like your kitchen table.
- Line up all the pieces.
- Apply the glue to both pieces you will be gluing together. Then align and assemble the pieces.
- Once the porcelain glue has cured, remove any unwanted adhesive by using a sharp knife or safety razor to cut it away.
If you have a project that requires gap bonding or filling, surface repairs or laminating, the best glue for porcelain or ceramic repairs will be an epoxy. An epoxy consists of two parts: resin and hardener. When mixed together, they produce a durable, high strength bond. Other features include:
