Repairing a broken corner on concrete steps

Artificial Content Title -- to be hidden

Steps require more maintenance and repair than other concrete structures around the house because heavy use, ice and salt make them more susceptible to damage. Wear and tear on the horizontal surfaces on steps, such as holes, pop-outs and larger cracks, can be repaired using Loctite® Metal And Concrete Epoxy. Loctite Metal And Concrete Epoxy is also ideal for rebuilding vertical surfaces, such as broken step corners or edges. It can be shaped to fit any surface.

Step-by-Step Directions

  1. Retrieve the broken corner. Clean it and the mating surface using a wire brush.

  2. Spread a heavy layer of Loctite Metal And Concrete Epoxy on the surfaces to be joined and press the broken piece into position, leaning a heavy block against the repair until the epoxy sets. Leave undisturbed for 24 hours.

  3. Surface holes:

  4. Remove all dust and debris and rinse the surface with water.

  5. Fill hole with Loctite Metal And Concrete Epoxy and feather the epoxy so that it is flush with both the top and side surfaces of the repaired area. Wait 24 hours before subjecting to traffic.
