Whether it’s sealing pipes or hanging mirrors, we’ve got the right Loctite tape for the project! Tune in and learn about the different kinds of Loctite tapes, the benefits of using mounting tape and how to use it!

Different kinds of Loctite tape

There are two types of tapes in the Loctite adhesive family. Both are top of their class, but for very different reasons. Whether you’re fixing a leaky pipe or hanging a mailbox, we’ve got the right solution for you!

For sealing pipes and hoses:

Loctite Go2 Repair Wrap is a versatile silicone wrap used to temporarily repair marine, home and automotive pipes and hoses. It’s flexible and adheres to itself – forming tight bonds that keep airtight and watertight seals.

For mounting:

Loctite Power Grab Mounting Tape is a powerhouse of strength when it comes to hanging items both indoors and out. This Loctite double-sided tape is quick and easy to use. It’s also compatible with tile, metal, wood, stone, glass and some plastics.

Features and benefits of Loctite power grab tape

If heavy-duty mounting tape is what you’re looking for, you’re in luck! Loctite Power Grab Mounting Tape packs the strength of an acrylic adhesive, in a tape form. One roll holds up to 100lbs, and it’s compatible with most porous and non-porous surfaces.

This tape is water and UV resistant, making it perfect for use on outdoor items like mailboxes, house numbers, and garden decorations. It’s also safe for indoor use, so feel free to use it for hanging mirrors, pictures, baseboards and other accents.

How to use Loctite mounting tape

Applying Loctite double sided mounting tape is simple. To achieve the best results, keep these helpful tips in mind before beginning.

Here’s how to use Loctite double sided tape…

  1. Clean and dry the surfaces. Remove dust and grease and clean the surface with a solvent like acetone, rubbing alcohol or other compatible solvent.
  2. Unroll the desired amount of tape and press it into place on the item you’re hanging.
  3. Cut the tape to the required length.
  4. Remove the protective strip and press the item firmly into place.

It’s as simple as that! Loctite mounting tape has a high initial grab, so there’s no bracing required. Final bonding strength is reached after 24 hours.
