After you’ve gathered your materials, let the fun begin! If your paper is rectangular, measure, mark and cut the paper into a perfect square.
Here’s how to make snowflakes from paper…
- Fold the paper square in half diagonally, pulling the upper left corner down to meet the lower right corner of the paper.
- Fold the paper into a triangle shape by bringing the top right corner down to meet the lower left.
- Fold the left side of the triangle in, the corner will extend down past the paper.
- Fold the right side of the triangle down. Your paper will look like an arrow with two end flags sticking out of the bottom.
- Cut off the bottom end flags in a straight line. You will be left with a triangle-shaped paper.
- Cut little shapes into the long edges of the triangle. This will form the details of your snowflake. Be careful not to cut the triangle in half.
- Open the snowflake to reveal your masterpiece!
- Lay the snowflake flat and lightly spritz with spray adhesive (Work in a well-ventilated area).
- Sprinkle glitter or other decorations on the snowflake. Let it dry before flipping to the other side.
- Flip the snowflake over and repeat with spray adhesive and decorations.
